The Tom Jobim Memorial is part of the cultural corridor of the Botanical Garden. This space was created in 2008, in honor of the composer and conductor Antônio Carlos Jobim (1927-1994), who expressed his love for the Garden in his writings and songs.
The Memorial is formed by the Tom Jobim Theater, the Warehouse of the Arts and the House of the Archival Collection.
The Theater has 378 seats and holds plays, music and dance spectacles, conferences and symposiums. In 2013, it was considered to be the best theater in town by Época magazine.
The Warehouse of the Arts holds smaller events and has space for exhibition with 324 m²
The File Collection House holds the complete Tom Jobim collection and keeps a permanent exhibition with pictures, original musical score sheets, personal memorabilia and videos of some of his presentation.
